Hello friends. Can you believe it’s almost December, and that Christmas is seriously just around the corner!?! This is absolutely my most favorite time of the year. I love everything about it. Decorating for the holidays happens to be my favorite part, this year I’m a little slow but it’s getting there.
This year I chose to go with a chalkboard theme to my Christmas decor. I am so lucky to have such a great mantle (which has yet to be officially decorated) and huge brick fireplace. Which means I have the perfect spot for hanging cute banners and garlands. Today I’m sharing this sweet & simple 12 Days of Christmas Chalkboard Banner I made.
– White Card Stock or Matte Photo Paper
– 12 Days Chalk Prints (available HERE)
– Decorative Scrapbooking Paper
– Bakers Twine
– Glue or Adhesive Tape Runner
– Hole Punch
This project was so easy to put together. I simply create some cute little chalkboard tags in my favorite photo editing program. I then printed them out on to matte card stock, you can use white card stock if you don’t have the photo paper on hand. I then cut each tag out by hand. Then using my Silhouette cutting machine I cut some slightly larger circles from a patterned scrapbook paper. I chose to use a polka dot paper that mimicked the chalkboard look I wanted. Then using my awesome “this to that” tape runner I put everything together. Holed punched each tag, then strung them on some fun bakers twine.
I paired it with my burlap garland and some jingle bells I strung on some bakers twine. It’s simple, I love it. It’s been an absolute pleasure contributing here on Lil’ Luna in 2013. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year! I hope you will visit me often at The Crafted Sparrow.
I’m so glad Rebecca contributed this year! She is amazing. Please be sure to check out her site and often – the girl has so many great ideas!!
