Don’t know about you but a lot of the meals I make are concoctions of left over items from other meals.
In fact, some of my favorite meals have been made from leftovers!
Today, I am happy to be showing you one of those recipes. The hubby said it was so good it tasted like it was a gourmet recipe from a restaurant. That means it’s a keeper.
Along with ECCE Panis Bread that can be found at your local Wal-Mart and our leftovers we were able to make these:
- 1 Package ECCE Panis Bread - Dinner Rolls
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 avocados
- mozzarella cheese
- cream cheese spread
- Put water in pot and boil until candy comes off.
- Preheat oven to 350 and place rolls on cooking sheet.
- Prep condiments by slicing avocados and tomatoes.
- Slice rolls in half. Add mayonnaise, cream cheese and mozzarella on one side. On the other add ham and
- Bake for 6-8 minutes or until mozzarella is melted.
- Add avocados and tomatoes to sandwich.
Ham & Tomatoes were leftovers from my daughter’s first birthday party last week (we served rolls and sandwich fixings)
Bacon was leftover from some breakfast burros we recently made.
Avocados were leftover from Pico Salsa.
Cream cheese was leftover from a dessert I recently created.
Put these together and you have one of the best sandwiches you’ll ever eat! And if I’m going to be honest, the bread is the part that sealed the deal! The dinner rolls were the perfect amount of bread and had a great taste. The best part was that it had a crunchy outside and super soft inside. It was also very inexpensive and was enjoyed by the entire family. What’s also great is that ECCE Panis Bread came in several varieties including:
Neo-Tuscan Mini Boule – Elegant mini round boule with a mild flavor and crackling golden crust
Ciabatta Loaf – Thin crust demi bread with a light, airy interior and a hint of olive oil
French Demi Baguettes – Twin demi baguettes with a golden brown crust and an airy open texture inside
Easy. Delicious. And made from leftovers. What more could you ask for?
