I’m a Mormon BUTTONS – 22 Designs

I’m a Mormon.
Did you know that?

Well, being Mormon is such a HUGE part of my life. In fact, I’ve shared several church printables and crafts here on Lil’ Luna{See here, here, here, here and here}.

A few weeks ago we were encouraged to create a profile on Mormon.org just so that others could learn more about us and our beliefs. At the same time we were encouraged to do this, I had the idea to create a series of  CUTE
I’m a Mormon BUTTONS
for people to put on their blogs/sites.
I thought it would be fun to create these buttons and then show you how to link it so that when clicked on it went to your profile page.

Fun, right!?

Well, here are the first series of buttons.

All you have to do is COPY the code in the Box next to each Button.Then, insert it onto your blog by going to {Design – Add a Gadget – HTML/JavaScript}
From there you will find the link of:
http://mormon.org/
You will just highlight this link and instead put in the link to your profile {which should be http://mormon.org/(xxxxxxxx)}.
It’s that EASY!
I hope you like them. :)
{Rectangle Buttons are 250×200}{Circle Buttons are 200×200}

How to Make a Blog Button

Before I do anything today, I just wanted to tell you
to go and check out my

INTERCHANGEABLE Pennant Banner Tutorial
over at Shindig today. I’m going to be making a monthly appearance over there, and I’m so glad Amanda from Shindig will be doing the same here. It’s gonna be FUN!

Today I thought I would do some tutorials to help
with all y’alls BLOGS.

I get emails all the time asking how to make buttons, how to get advertisers, how to get their blog bigger… the list goes on.

I really don’t consider myself an expert in any of these areas, but I have learned A LOT in the last year and I want to share with you some of those things I learned…

HOW TO MAKE A BLOG BUTTON
(One that links to your site, and one with text underneath it for others to copy & paste)
1. Begin by making the image/logo you want. You can make yours in Paint, Photoshop… whatever you have. I have Paintshop Pro that I bought for $20 and I LOVE it!!

2. Open a PHOTOBUCKET account. If you want to do more blogging and need to make buttons, you will need this. In Photobucket, you will be able to UPLOAD your images.

3. Upload the images you want for you button(s) and re-size to what you need. When advertising, most people like a 125×125 pixel button, but you may want one bigger for your sidebar.

4. Be sure to take note of all the CODES that will be under your picture in Photobucket…
5. Add the button to your blog by going to your Dashboard – Add a Gadget – HTML/JavaScriptContinue Reading

How to Make Custom Blog Page Tabs

Unfortunately, I’m not super blog-savvy,
which isn’t good considering I have and run a Blog.
Because of that, it takes a lot of googling to figure out how to do certain things on blogs. I wish there was one site that had all the answers, but that’s not the case.

Fortunately, I found a site that did help with making
CUSTOM PAGE TABS.

That was the main thing I was wanting to do over Christmas break, and I’m so glad I found this site to help.

I thought I’d share with all of you how to do this in case you were hoping to do the same for your blog.
TUTORIAL:CUSTOM PAGE TABS

DIRECTIONS:
1. Begin by Creating your Pages. The Pages are found under the Posting Section under
DESIGN, under EDIT PAGES. There you can create your pages (About Me, Advertising, etc.)
Be sure to
SAVE & PUBLISH your pages.

Misc. Monday – Free FONTS baby!

I LOOOOVE FONTS!
Free fonts, that is.

I get most of the fonts I use for my projects and vinyl from:
dafont.com
fontfreak.com
or
fontgarden.com

They have a TON of free fonts and dingbats (picture fonts) to download that work great for printables and vinyl machines like mine and the Silhouette.

Some of my more favorite fonts are the SCRAPBOOK FONTS.
Unfortunately, the font sites above do not have a ton of those,
so I was so SUPER EXCITED to find a site that had a ton to
download for FREE!!

The site is called: kevinandamanda.com
They have fonts for purchase and can even convert your handwriting to a font.
Cool, huh?

Here are some of my favorites from there:

Okay, those are just a few… really.

Any who, go and check it out and download the fonts
cuz they are awesome!!

If you want to learn more about downloading and installing fonts on your computer, go to this POST.

ENJOY!

Begin by going to your Dashboard.

On the left hand side, you will see where you can
EDIT PROFILE. Click on that.

Once you have gone to EDIT PROFILE, Click
SHARE MY PROFILE
.
Also, Click SHARE MY EMAIL ADDRESS.

If you scroll down, you will also see that there is a place to put in your email address.
Make sure that is correct.

Then, be sure to SAVE it down below.

If you do this, I will LOVE you FOREVER!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE getting comments and love answering questions but, I am sometimes unable to when I can’t find an email address to reach you at.

Any who, just thought I’d share.

THANK YOU!
