Paint Your Own Room by Olympic

Hey there friends!
Today I’m so excited to show you a SUPER awesome site that I just learned about.

It’s called Paint Your Own Room, the newest addition to its ColorClix suite by Olympic Paint & Stain.

ABOUT THE SITE:

- Paint Your Own Room allows the user to upload a photo of their room and preview it painted in any of the 1,200 Olympic Paint colors.
- Paint Your Own Room lets you be your own color genius.
The ColorClix suite is a cross-platform collection of color tools allowing consumers to discover new colors anytime, anywhere – on a mobile phone, on a desktop computer or online. From initial color inspiration to final product selection and purchase, ColorClix tools digitize the paint-purchasing process from beginning to end.

Our bedroom is one of the ugliest rooms in the house and I’ve been anxious to get decorating in there but haven’t had the time to think about it. I thought it would be fun to try this program out on it.

Here is what my wall looked like BEFORE:

Punched Accordions + Lucky8 Punch Review

I LOVE finding new and awesome products. While attending CHA back in February I was able to meet with the company, We R Memory Keepers. I was so impressed and excited to see all the fun product they carried, especially their Lucky 8 Punches. These babies are awesome!! They cut 12×12 pieces of paper in 3 different ways.

You can cut just the outside border. Or you can cut the inside design only. Or you can do both at the same time.

I decided I wanted to create some Punched Accordions using both of the designs on the Lucky 8 Punch for my daughter’s 1st Birthday Party next week. I’ve known for awhile I wanted to make some accordions (I know, I’m obsessed – LOL!} to hang but wanted to jazz them up some how. When I saw the punch, I knew  it would be my answer to embellishing the accordions and making them even cuter!

Easy Valentines Banner & Oh My Crafts Product Review + Giveaway

Today’s post and tutorial is brought to you by:

Oh My Crafts, Inc. is a growing business dedicated to internet sales of the latest products in scrapbooking and crafts. We do not have a retail store, but attend many of the trade shows each years to find the latest products to offer to our customers. Our goal is to provide good value and competitive pricing on top products for scrapbooking, card making, and related craft items. Occasionally we find unique products that we feel that our customers will also find interesting.

I recently was able to get some products from Oh My Crafts and got some scrapbook paper, chalk vinyl, chipboard and more for an AMAZING PRICE. They had  a darling selection of scrapbook paper, and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.

I decided to make an “I {heart} you” Banner similar to the JOY Banner I did in December. These banners are simple and easy to make and are super cute, especially if you have super cute scrapbook paper. I had all the supplies on hand, so this makes a very cute and inexpensive craft!

This is what you’ll need to make one:

SUPPLIES:

-Scrapbook Paper

-Paper Cutter

-Hot Glue

-Tulle/Ribbon

DIRECTIONS:
1.       Decide on what kind of shape you want to use for the banner. I did a Triangle Shape, but you can do circles or even penants. Make your pattern and make two sizes of it {one a tad smaller than the other}. Trace the larger pattern on to your cardstock and then trace the smaller pattern onto your patterned paper. Cut out.
2. You will then glue the smaller pattern on to your larger pattern.
3. From there, I made paper accordions. To do that, cut out strips half the width of what you would like your paper accordion to be. For example, if you want a 4 inch accordion, then cut your strips 2 inches wide. Your will need 2 strips per accordion. Then, zig zag the entire length of the paper. You will hot glue the beginning and the ends of the paper to your other zig-zagged strip. Then you will in the edges of the paper and place a dab of hot glue. Hold until it dries.
4. Hot glue your accordions to your scrapbook paper shapes.
5. Then trace your letters onto your glitter paper. To do this I used chipboard and made a heart out of paper, then traced it backwards onto the back of my glitter paper and scrapbook paper. I then cut it out and hot glued it to the center of my accordion flowers.
6. Hole punch the tops and string with ribbon or tulle.
Voila! Easy. Cute. And all for about a buck!
Can’t beat that!

Today, Oh My Crafts is giving one lucky reader a:

$25 Gift Card to their shop

Now you can get supplies and scrapbook paper just like I did to make this cute banner.

Partylite Party + Giveaway

This post brought to you by PartyLite Simple Pleasures Holiday Sweepstakes. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you heard of PartyLite Candles?

PartyLite is the world’s #1 direct seller of premium candles and home-fragrance products. Their products are sold through home parties and online in all states in the U.S. AND in 17 countries!

I didn’t think I had heard of them until I realized that I owned a few of their pieces. Let me introduce you to Mr. Bones & Fido {which is what the kiddos call them.}

We love these pieces, and they go great with all my Halloween Decor.

Any way, a week from today I will be hosting a PartyLite party, and I am so excited!! There are so many benefits that come with hosting, but the main one is earning store credit. I was given $50 to spend, and I’ve been eye-ing a ton of different products, like these warmers:

Not only do these warmers look adorable, but I am also dying to try their FOOD {YES – food!}. The Two Sisters Gourmet have a variety of seasonings, sauces and breads.

{Don’t these look DELISH?!}

PartyLit candles and decor are a great way to “redecorate and refresh” every season at no or nearly no cost by earning these products.

Sign up to host a party so you can get these products for free too!

They even have awesome sweepstakes like the PartyLite Simple Pleasures Holiday Sweepstakes where you could have been one of 5 winners to get a $500 PartyLite gift certificate just for signing to host a party, which would have been pretty awesome to win!

Plus, the PartyLite Winter/Spring 2012 Catalog launched Dec. 16th and you will want to earn as much credit to buy some of the amazing new products! I’ve been checking out all of the melts to go with the warmers, and I’m dying to try:

Cinnamon Sticks – Coconut Cove – Holiday Spices

SO many to try!

And as mentioned, I am hosting a party next Thursday, so if you are local and would like to come, leave me your email address and let me know. Would love to meet you. There will be food, a small make and take craft and other bloggers!!

Also, as a part of hosting this party and being a blogger, I also get to give one LUCKY READER a coupon code fro $25 that can be used toward an online PartyLite purchase from a Consultant’s website.

Sweet!
