Quick & EASY Fruit Dip
Who doesn’t love a good Fruit Dip recipe?
Fruit is already so tasty as it is, but let me tell you, dipping it in a sweet and delicious dip makes it even better. That’s why we are sharing today’s recipe for our family-favorite Sweet Dip (but other favs include our Caramel Apple Dip and Nutella Dip).
This easy Fruit Dip recipe is not only the best, but it takes just a handful of ingredients and comes together in just a few minutes. With how simple it is to make, it’s perfect for parties, BBQs, showers, and get-togethers.
And we’re talking done in just 3-5 minutes or so – it’s that easy!
How to Make Fruit Dip
This Cream Cheese Dip for fruit only contains 5 ingredients and is so easy to make! First, gather these ingredients:
- cream cheese
- marshmallow fluff
- Cool Whip or Whipped Cream (about 3 cups)
- powdered sugar
- vanilla
COMBINE. In a medium bowl, beat powdered sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla together with a hand mixer on low speed, until well mixed.
Fold in whipped topping and Marshmallow Fluff.
CHILL + SERVE! Chill until ready to serve. Serve with fruit or Pound Cake for dipping.
Serving Tips
Serving suggestions. You really can’t go wrong serving every fresh fruit with this Cream Cheese Dip recipe. Our favorites include strawberries, blackberries, pineapples, grapes, apples, raspberries, cherries, peaches, and bananas.
Additional dippables. Marshmallow Cream Cheese Dip works great for other treats too like vanilla wafers, Cinnamon Chips, graham crackers, or Oreos. Get creative!
Lighten it up. Use “light” versions of the cream cheese and cool whip. The dip will still turn out just as creamy and delicious. I typically use light cool whip.
Prevent fruit from turning brown. Here are a few tricks to keep that fruit looking fresh while it’s sitting on a platter at your party.
- Dip cut fruit in lemon juice. Simply squeeze a lemon over the cut fruit and gently toss.
- Quickly dip the fruit in ginger ale.
- Use a commercial product such as Fruit-Fresh.
- Use a sharp paring knife. The sharper the blade the less “damage” the fruit takes.
Storing info
STORE. We recommend storing this Fruit Dip Recipe in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 5-6 days. Unfortunately, it never lasts that long at our house and we have a feeling it will be the same at yours. 😉
Whether hosting a baby shower, a BBQ or even just having a date night in – I promise this F Dip will not disappoint!
Recipe FAQ
You can use reduced fat cream cheese and “light” cool whip to cut down on the calories in this fruit dip. In fact, I usually use the light cool whip.
Make sure your cream cheese is fully softened before mixing all the ingredients together. If it’s not fully softened, it can cause lumps in the dip.
I prefer fruits that don’t brown (like apples and bananas do). My top favorites to serve with fruit dip are strawberries, blackberries, grapes, pineapple, and cantaloupe.

I just made this for the first time. I only made half bc after reading some of the reviews that said it was too sweet-I just wasn’t sure.
Now I wish I’d have doubled it & I cud eat the extra with a spoon.
I think it is GREAT & will be making it again.
Thanks for a fantastic recipe! I love it and my 91-year old mom won’t eat fruit without this dip!😊
Oh that makes me so happy to hear!! Glad the dip is a hit!
Thank You,
I love your recipes. I’m going to try a few of them this weekend for the Superbowl!!

this tastes great. can it ne frozen?
I wouldn’t recommend freezing. The texture of those dairy products thawed might be a little strange. The dip will last 5-6 days in an air-tight container in the fridge.
I made a double batch of this fruit dip for our 4th of July party. Everyone loved it!
