My sweet baby, Evie, turned ONE a week and a half ago.
To celebrate, we decided to throw a Daisies and Donuts Birthday Party.
Why Daisies and Donuts?? Not sure really. Just thought it would be cute because we love both.
There were so many things we wanted to do for this party, but they were put on the back burner due to spending the day before the party in the ER. Yeah, not so fun. Evie fell, bunked her head on the tile and past out. Scary! I kinda freaked out – A LOT!! We took her to the Emergency Room to make sure she was okay. They did a CT scan and they said everything was fine. We were so grateful (still are). We’ve realized since then that she’s a breath-holder. When she gets hurt really bad she can’t catch her breath and ends up passing out. It takes only a second for her to come to, but even then it’s really scary. With that said, we threw the best party we could having had all that happen even if it meant I didn’t get to finish everything I wanted to for it. And to be quite honest, I was completely okay with that. I was just so happy my little Evie was okay because she means the worlds to me!
So, without further adieu – The Daisies & Donuts Party….
We served a series of donuts and goodies and had milk to go along with. We also served lunch and had all the fam come. It was so much fun!
{Don’t you just love this huge tiered stand?! My aunt made it out of a table, and I LOVE it!!}
{I was able to make these super cute donuts from cake mix using a Donut Maker – so easy and so cute!}
{We made these Glazed Donut Muffins in back and had donut holes in the Chevron Bitty Bags}
There were LOTS of donuts.
And no worries, we were sure to serve milk with the donuts – a MUST! Also attached straws and flags.
MORE DETAILS:
{Streamers, Accordion Fans and Tissue Fan Backdrop}
{Birthday Milestone Board & Twig Display}
We even set up a PHOTO-OP area with tissue poms and globes:
And Evie sure loved her “Donut” we gave her to celebrate. She was so stinkin’ cute and would pick at one piece and put it in her mouth. She was almost eating it one sprinkle at a time! At the end, she finally picked the whole thing up and ate off all the frosting! So cute!!
We sure love this little girl! She has seriously brought us so much joy, and we feel so blessed and grateful that she is ours. I seriously could just eat her, I love her so much!! Happy Birthday, Evie!

ENJOY!

You’re so sweet, Vanessa!! The hubby said I could only throw big parties when the kiddos turn one, so I thought I would take advantage of it since I’d have his “blessing” for this one. LOL!! It’s probably a good thing he only wants parties at the big milestones cuz they’re lots of work – haha!! Hope you had a great Easter weekend too! XO

So many fun ideas and decorations! You did a great job! I love donuts and daisies too! And Evie is adorable! My niece and nephew are breath holders when they cry too. My sister has learned to turn them upside down when they start to do it when crying. For some reason it makes them take in a breath when they suddenly go upside down. They faint a lot less this way now. Maybe that can help! I have seen her kids pass out when it happens and it is pretty scary!

Thanks for the sweet words, Amy!! And also thank you for the tip for my baby. Hadn’t heard of holding them upside down. I heard that you can blow in their face and that helps, so that’s what I’ve been doing. I think my daughter hates it, but if it means she won’t pass out I’ll keep doing it. Will also try turning them upside down!! Thanks again! Can’t wait to see your cute face next week at SNAP! XO
Too cute! I love it!! Found you on Ask Anna’s FB page.
Thanks, Kim!! And glad you found me through Anna – I sure love that girl!

So scary! Asher fell at the same age on tile and got a HUGE goose egg. Now any time he hits that spot, he automatically gets a bump. We have to be careful, because we were told it could calcify and become a little horn. We would end up with a half devil of a unicorn:)
Your party turned out so adorable! I love the color palette and how it all came together even with the time crunch… Great Job!!!

So scary, Amanda!! We have tile and I hate that the kids get hurt so bad each time they fall… makes me want to get carpet. Hopefully there will be no more goose eggs in the future. And thanks for the sweet words. Glad you like the party! XO
