Who else is BEYOND excited for The Hunger Games?! I AM!
I started reading this series when only Book 1 was available and waited impatiently for Books 2 and 3 to come out. They are my FAV!
I’m not gonna lie, I DID NOT like how they ended, but I still loved the series. To celebrate The Hunger Games Movie Premiere this week I wanted to share with you 12 DIY Hunger Games Ideas (for District 12, of course). I hope you love these ideas as much as I did.

Oooh, I LOVED the books! I inherited them from a dear friend who moved back to the US last year and read them in less than a week. And no, I didn’t like how it ended either..
But, after reading the books in English, I just can’t watch the movie in German.

Unfortunately I will have to wait until they show the movie in English over here, which won’t be when it premieres.
Thank you for the 12 Hunger Games ideas!
xoxo,
Vanessa

SO glad you read the books, Vanessa! Bummer that it doesn’t come out this week. How long will you have to wait? Hopefully not too long.
Already purchased our tickets for Saturday night’s show! I am so excited! I LOVED the books! As a matter of fact, I just finished reading them again! Can’t wait for the movie!
I really wanted to try and read them again before the movie came out but that didn’t happen. Hopefully I will be able to read them again before the next movie comes out. Can’t wait!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the movie Saturday.
These are great! I have made some Hunger Games cookies for my blog here: http://notyourmommascookie.com/2012/02/may-the-odds-be-ever-in-your-favor-hunger-games-cookies/. I also did a guest post with arrow cookies for Katniss here: http://raegunwear.blogspot.com/2012/03/hunger-games-cookies-tutorial.html.

Seriously – your cookies are AH-MAZING!!! LOVE them!!
I adore the Hunger Games! They are my favorite and I am one who jumps on bandwagon series. I can not wait until the movie comes out! Every time I see the preview on tv where Katniss says, “I volunteer as tribute,” I get choked up! I think it will be interesting to see how the movie plays out since so much of what makes the book great was played out in Katniss’ thoughts. So excited!!!

So true – I didn’t even think about the fact that so much of the book is Katniss’ thoughts. And I totally get choked up too when she says she volunteers! Eek – can’t wait!!!
These are fantastic! I’ve got my own Hunger Games post set to go up tomorrow and Thursday and I’ve already bought the tickets for this Friday. I CAN’T wait!!

Hi Kristyn,
Thanks so much for including my T-shirt DIY!! My daughter (who turned me onto the trilogy) and I are going to the midnight viewing on Thursday night…I can’t wait either! I loved books 1 & 2, but am struggling to finish 3. I just don’t want it to end.
Eileen aka LazaFlair
Yes, I did NOT want it to end… especially like it did, but keep reading – you’ll enjoy it! The series was seriously so fun! And thanks for coming up with such an awesome tutorial. You make the shirt look so easy to make. I’m definitely going to give it a try soon. Have a great day! XO
This is awesome! My friends and I are going to see the Midnight showing on Thursday night!!!

SO fun! I was tempted to go at midnight but my hubby actually wants to come with. Go Figure!! LOL! We are going Friday night and are actually going with some other bloggers and their spouses on a group date, so it should be fun. Let me know Friday how it was.
Such a fun round up Kristyn. I love all of these. I was just checking out the movie times on Fri and might go midday while my kids are in school. Can’t wait!!

I wish you were close so we could go together… oh yeah, and that I could go mid-day without the kiddos. #oneday
I’m going Friday, yay!
(SPOILER ALERT)
I wasn’t a fan of the whole last book, but so glad she found happiness with Peeta!
Yeah, I just thought too many people died. And I feel like things never really ended with Gale. :/
I loved the books and they’re a hit with my students! I can’t wait to go and watch the movie this Friday.

Neither can I. Even the hubby asked me if he could come with!! I was quite surprised!
oh my goodness, I just finished the book and now I am obsessed with all things Hunger Games. Now I just need to convince the hubby that we need to make some of these treats and see the movie on Friday!

Yes, you definitely need to see the movie. It looks AWESOME!! And so glad you read the books. They were so addicting!
Already have my ticket for Friday night! Cannot wait! I started reading when only book 1 was available too and just loved the series! Initially, I didn’t like how the series ended either, but after re-reading, I realize there really was no other way to end it. It wasn’t a happy love story to begin with (much as I wanted it to be!)
but it did show how different people loved and how they showed that love. I think Suzanne Collins did an amazing job with the story and I will continue re reading that book for years to come! Thanks for all the cute ideas, I will pass them along to the other girls I’m having a Hunger Games party with
