Did you know that IKEA charges $37 to $64 bucks for panels?! Let me explain, when you purchase cabinetry from IKEA it’s pretty standard..
except when it comes to the finished product, you pay extra for the countertop {which is expected} But you have to pay for side and back panels!
PEOPLE save your money and go buy a sheet of chalkboard, bead-board, or in MY case, Metal.
OK look at the sides below, we paid $37.00 for those little white side panels, EACH! WHY?!?!?
I kick myself now, but at least I opted for a DIY solution for the back panel, cuz they wanted to charge me $64.00 for this one!
I decided I wanted metal, so it could be magnetic for my littles schoolwork and such.
You have to make sure you crimp the edges so they aren’t sharp, then we just screwed it right on!
I didn’t realize it would look so scratched up, so I painted it with chalkboard paint, OF COURSE! Now it has multiple functions!!
