In the summer I have found in the past we eat out A LOT! In order to control the eating out this summer I have created a free printable menu so I can stick it on my fridge. I’ve made it available for you as well, so hopefully you can keep organized this summer. And… now you won’t hear “what’s for dinner??” all day long. Everyone in the family will know if it’s posted on the fridge. I’ve also included a shopping list to make it easy for you to plan ahead.

Supplies:

Free printable download (for personal use only)

Laminator -optional

Instructions:

All you need to do is right click on the image to save it to your computer. Then print it out on a colored printer or take it to a copy store to be printed. Once it’s printed you can laminate the paper if you’d like to use a dry eraser each week. You can also just use a marker or pen.

LOVE this printable menu. We have the same problem in the summer time and since it’s so hot I usually find myself not wanting to cook and we go out or pick up fast food. So not good for you or the budget!! This will definitely help me stay more organized in the summer!

I’m so thrilled to be here at Lil’ Luna today! I am Amy from Mod Podge Rocks and Washi Tape Crafts, and I think Kristyn is “thebomb.com” (to use a Real Housewives of the OC phrase). Kristyn also deserves a medal for being a blogger with four kids, don’t you think? This blogging thing isn’t easy without kids, so let’s hear it for the parents who have them and still get it done!

Babies are cute and sweet – everyone knows that. So I decided to make a printable to celebrate the cuteness and sweetness of babies. I found this quote from Don Herold – “babies are such a nice way to start people” – and I loved it. I realized that I need to capture that sweet sentiment in a printable. You can print either of these out and they will fit into an 8 x 10 frame . . . or you can use them to decorate at your next party.

And because I love you, I did two versions – one blue, and one pink. Here they are for free. Enjoy!

I’m especially nervous for a plane ride with 4 kids 5 and under. Any tips? LOL.

Fortunately, I have convinced my mom to fly with us, because I just don’t know how I’d do it on my own. I’ve already made backpacks for each of the kids with coloring books, snacks and iPads and headphonese for the two oldest. Hoping that helps.

I’m also very anxious to get to our new home and to start getting situated. It’s going to be a crazy and fun adventure for our little fam.

Onesie Baby Shower Favor

We had around 35 people at the shower so I wanted to make something that was quick and easy to put together and wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. Once everything was printed and cut out the assembly took about 15 minutes, so these favors are great for a medium to large size crowd.

MATERIALS:

-White Cardstock ( I used Core’dinations from Jo Ann Fabrics)

-Printer- for the print and cut method

-Patterned Paper (I used Recollections from Michaels)

-Hot glue and hot glue gun

-Silhouette Cameo Cutting Machine

-This cutting file from the Silhouette Online Store

-This cutting file from the Silhouette Online Store

-Candies-I got mine from a Party Supply Store

-Double Stick Tape

-Small clear Plastic Baggies (I got mine from Michaels)

STEPS:

1. Size your onesie to 3.350″x6.875″

2. Use the print and cut method to create the saying “Thanks 4 joining us”-in case you’re not familiar with it full tutorial found here.

3. Size your bow ( just used the long bow part) to 0.770″x 2.445″

4. After both shapes are cut out hot glue bow to onesie card

5. Then fill bag with candy, cut the bag, fold over and tape, lay the taped side down on top of double stick tape- diagram below

6. Add double stick tape to the top and fold on top.

7. Enjoy!!

These DIY wooden flags:

Flags always seem to be in fashion when it comes to decorating, as they look great and can add a sense of travel, history, and even commitment. This project is perfect to use up some craft supplies you probably already have lying around, plus memorial day is just around the corner, and that’s always a time to be thinking patriotically.

You will need:

Scraps of wood (I used plywood)

Painters Tape

Paint

Paint Brush

Command Strips for hanging.

Directions:

First, use the painters tape to outline the flag. This is a crafty project and wanted it to look homemade, so I didn’t measure or stress too much about perfection.

Then the painting began…

And continued, until it looked like this:

I left it for about and hour, then removed the tape (always my favorite part).

Then final look was fun, and just the thing I needed to fill up some space in our powder room!

Hello, Lil’Luna readers! My name is Angelina and you can find me blogging over at,

JoJo & Eloise.

I am so excited to be here today! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Kristyn as I am sure many of you do as well and I can’t Congratulate her and her family enough on their newest Blessing! Baby Wesley, who is just the about the Cutest thing ever.

So with all that said,how about we get started with this fun DIY porject!

I will be sharing a very simple, easy and quick tutorial on how too bring new life to an Old pair of shoes.

I know it’s not the prettiest of tutorials but I promise it will be one that is well worth it, not too mention money saving also and I know we all LOVE to save money.

My daughter had these sparkly, Once Shiny and White shoes that she has practically worn the life out of.

If you follow my blog you probably already know, that I do a lot of picture taking. Most often the pictures are of Sewing Projects, which sometimes require FOOT shots!

Which can easily add up to me needing a wide variety of shoes (for my kids). I must admit I LOVE shoes like any other person, but have the hardest time spending LOTS of money on Kids shoes, when they are just going to grow out of them just about as quick as you can Blink!!

So, even though these worn out shoes have seen better days, they still have some hope left for a new life.

Here’s what I did:

I used a damped cloth to get all the loose dust and dirt off the main body of the shoe. I choose some basic Acrylic Paint by Martha Stewart. I was needing RED shoes, but feel free to use any color needed! (I have a feeling these shoes will one day be another color). {*Wink*}

Once my surface was clean and dry, I painted the entire shoe with a generous coat of paint and allowed them to fully dry.

Once they were fully dry, they were busy at work.

We have already gotten lots of wear out of them.

I used them in an upcoming Sewing Project pictured below.

We also used them for the Zig Zag blog tour I just recently did.

As well as in this DIY Stencil Shirt tutorial.

These shoes still have a couple more projects left in the RED, but I have a feeling they will be a new color here, VERY soon.

I’m the momma to one precious girly girl and she has a LOT of bows! This holder made the perfect addition to her aqua, pink and orange bird-themed nursery. But, I also love this project because it would make for a darling and affordable baby gift. I love handmade gifts, don’t you? A few months ago, my family moved from Las Vegas to Lincoln, Nebraska so… I know just how Kristyn is feeling right now. However… I didn’t have to pull this all together AND have a baby at the same time. Let’s just say she is Super Woman!

I have a fun baby gift to share with you guys today.  Not too long ago my best friend adopted a baby and then gave birth to her own baby three and a half months later. It was such a special time in their life and I was thrilled to be able to share that time with them. I threw a fun baby shower for her with a bug theme. Not the traditional bug theme… just check it out.

Yea, I went with a VW Bug theme for the shower and everyone just LOVED it. We had our Love Bug and our Cuddle Bug as the shower center piece. The cute little onezies were so easy to make and are a fun baby gift!

I now make them for all my friends who are having a new little bug. It’s so fun to come up with all the great words that will go with BUG. Here are a couple that I made for my little nephew…

I made them using my Silhouette CAMEO and the Designer Edition software. I used this image of an old VW bug and then just added the text that I wanted in the Silhouette software.

You can download the svg file that you will need when using your Silhouette from the box below…

Once you bring your image into your Silhouette Studio Edition software you can add  your word and then make sure you mirror the image before you cut the Heat Transfer Material. Select your images and then right click and you will see the command “flip image horizontally.” Select that and your image will them flip and will be ready to cut.

You will then take your Silhouette Heat Transfer Material and place it in your CAMEO or Portrait and cut according to the package directions.

Once your images are cut, you will need to “weed” the image to remove all of the extra heat transfer material…

Next, follow the directions on the Heat Transfer Material package and iron on the image onto your onezie. It’s really quite slick!  I love this stuff. That’s all it takes and you now have some creative baby gifts for all your friends!

It’s a portable growth chart that you can take with you from home to home. It’s lovely and also super easy to make!
