There have been so many times that I’ve attempted to craft while the kiddos were awake. Dumb, right?! Almost every single time I would find myself stressed out or frustrated because I couldn’t get anything done. I quickly realized that it just didn’t work out so well (I don’t know why I thought it would work in the first place). I then realized I needed to put my stuff to the side for a later time (early in the morning, during naptime or late at night) and focus more on them. I started to plan more kids crafts and even threw in a few recipes that I knew they could help with. They LOVED it!!
Now, creating is one of their favorite things to do!! Almost every day, they will see me in the kitchen pulling out ingredients or pulling out supplies for a kids craft, and they hurry and grab the chairs from the kitchen table and drag them to the island (they know that’s our creation station – lol!)
It’s there that we’ve been able to create memories and spend time together crafting. And what can get better than that, right?!
Well, recently, I was contacted by a company to review some of their products.
The company is called Kiwi Crate. Every month you can sign up to receive a pretty green crate filled with all the materials and inspiration for hands-on projects. Their crates are designed around fun themes including arts & crafts, science activities, imaginative play and more!
This is a sample – The Gardening Crate. Cute, huh?!
Each box comes with the supplies for two creations.
Here are some other samples above:
Window Gardening – Flower Pots
Stompy Feet Materials – Stained Glass
We received a Space Exploration Crate. Lily was so excited to check it all out. We haven’t made the mobile yet, but we have made several rockets!!
Lily made one for herself and one for brother (hers was pink, of course, and his was blue!). As soon as he woke up from his nap, the two of them were having rocket launch contests. Nice for me because they were entertained for the next hour – lol!!
Kiwi Crate would like to offer Lil’ Luna readers 25% off their first Kiwi Crate (a $19.95 value), for a limited time only. Woo hoo!!
Just use PROMO CODE: CLEVER25
Be sure to go to Kiwi Crate to find out all the details and to see more Crate Samples.
ENJOY!
