How can you not love succulents?!
They’re just the cutest things around, and I love that they are showing up in decor in all the stores. You can even find a huge variety of succulents at Lowe’s and Home Depot now, which is awesome!! I’ve been using them in my home decor and realized I could use some for a cute gift idea. I was thinking of Mother’s Day when I made this, but then realized it would be great for a birthday gift too.
I decided to make a cute Succulent Colander Gift and made some tags for Mother’s Day and for birthdays to go with them. The whole thing came together really quick (which is always nice) and turned out so cute!! I purchased my yellow colander from Amazon, but I’ve spotted really cute ones at HomeGoods and Marshalls so I would also look there. And then I found my succulents at Home Depots. I wanted really ones since I had plenty of faux ones here at the house, but you can definitely use faux ones as well to have them last even longer.
Making this cute gift was easy peasy and simply requires the following:
1. Place your colander on a plate. Fill with soil.
2. Add succulents and arrange accordingly.
3. Download and print your tags. Cut them out and attach to a paper straw (I used washi tape). Add tags to the gift and you’re done!!
To make it even cuter, give with a cute plate to place underneath.
SO EASY – SO CUTE!!
Here are the tags I made for this. They can also be downloaded, by clicking on the tag you want, and then right-clicking and saving. You can them upon them up in a program like WORD, RE-SIZE and print!! You can use these tags for any gift that you decide to make. 😀
