Check out this easy DIY Bird Feeder. What a fun way to get the kids outside and excited about seeing birds and only requires a few supplies. This one looks like a great project!

Hello Lil’ Luna readers!

This is Shonee here again visiting from Hawthorne and Main and I am so excited to be here. With spring here and all the birds out it is the perfect time to get the kids all together to make a fun easy DIY bird feeder. We have already had fun seeing birds at our house using this feeder!

SUPPLIES:

  • 1 Piece of Leather
  • 1 “S” Hook
  • E-6000 glue
  • Glass Mason Jar
  • ½ inch Dowel
  • Leather punch

DIRECTIONS:

Add a little bit of glue to the dowel. You only need to add glue to the part that will be touching the glass jar. Make sure that the dowel is secure in the middle of the jar, otherwise it will sit lopsided.

Once the dowel is secure you can move to the next step. Add some glue to the back of your piece of leather. Keeping it tight, wrap it around the glass jar having the ends meet at the top.

Using a leather punch, or something similar, make two holes at the top of each end of the leather. Using the “S” hook hang the bird feeder from a branch.
