Cabinet Door Christmas Tree Sign

Hi there Friends!It’s time for The Creative Carousel, and today I will be showing you how I made a Cabinet Door Christmas Tree Sign.
Here is what I came up with:Cabinet Door Christmas Tree Sign from { }
It will be perfect on my mantel and will take the place of my Halloween Cabinet Door Creation.

Here is what you’ll need to make one too…

-Cabinet Door
-Spray Paint
-Sand Paper

1. Begin by Painting your Cabinet door or piece of wood the color you want your tree to be. I spray painted mine Apple Green. Let dry.

2. Design your vinyl. I had a Christmas Tree dingbat and then just added some Christmas Words in different fonts on top of that. Cut, weed and add adhesive to vinyl.

3. Put Vinyl on to your cabinet door. Remove adhesive. Then spray your board another color. I did Red. Let dry.

4. Peel away vinyl and you’ve now stenciled your board! I also sanded the edges for a distressed look.
{I also like to spray a layer of polyurethane to seal the paint}

5. I last minute decided to add a small banner on the bottom that says Merry Christmas. To do that, I printed “MERRY CHRISTMAS” onto some paper {long/landscape-wise} and then added some excess paper to make it longer. I did that by cutting two extra pieces, folding it and hot glueing it to the ends of my Merry Christmas strip and then folding it again and cutting a triangle at the edges to make it look like a banner.

Super easy and perfect for my Mantel!

He said to wait… so I waited, now they're gone and you've shared this awesome project! next time, hubs is staying home! haha :o)

    Very pretty! Wish I had some cabinet doors around here. Wait, I should check the garage thoroughly before I say that. There just MIGHT be one under all that wood from the building of our house…

    I love yourchristmas tree design on the cabinet door. But where do you get the dingbat thing? The steps do not show that part of the lettering with the tree shape.
