I’m loving the new 2011 Young Women’s Theme!
The 13th Article of Faith has always been my Favorite!
I thought it would be GREAT to make a PRINTABLE of the theme to make for my girls so they could have it on display in their room all year long.
The total cost for one frame was .50!!
(Which was the cost of the frame – I had everything else on hand)
Can’t beat that!
Here’s how I did it:
-Frame (Got 2/$1 at Dollar Tree)
-Paint
-Foam Brush
-Fabric (Cotton & Taffeta)
-Hot Glue Gun
-Embellishments (I used pearls)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Paint frame. Let dry. Distress when dried if desired.
2. Make embellishments. I made two rolled roses and one burnt flower. To make burnt flowers, cut 4 different size circles out of taffeta. Using a tealight or candle, place edges of circles one inch or so above flame. The heat will curl the edges under.. Do this with all circles, and hot glue together.
3. To make rolled roses, cut out 1 inch wide strip of fabric that is about 12-16 inches long. Tie a knot in the end. Twist fabric and roll around the knot hot gluing every inch or so to hold in place. Add pearls to centers of flowers for an even more embellished look.
4. Hot glue flowers onto corner of frame.
5. Print printable, and add to frame.
Now you have a SUPER cute and easy gift for your Young Women
that will remind them of what WE BELIEVE.

We are SO going to do this tomorrow. I've already uploaded them to Walmart. Loved the rolled flower embellishment. Can't wait to see if they have the 2pack frames at our dollar store.
