Happy Easter Banner

Super cute and easy Easter Banner Tutorial on { lilluna.com } #easter

I was so happy when I was asked by my Rice Krispies team to make an

Happy Easter Banner.

Banners are right up my alley and I LOVE working with PAPER.

I’m not a HUGE fan of pastels, but we used these lighter shades for the color theme of our RK display, and I LOVE how Spring-y it ended up looking.

This is how I made it:

SUPPLIES:
-Paper
-Sewing machine
-Paper cutter
-Hot Glue
-Tulle/Ribbon
-Hole Punch

DIRECTIONS:

1. Begin by cutting out the main shape of each letter. You can do triangles, circles, or a shape similar to the one I used.

2. Since I made two of each of these shapes for each letter, I glued them together and then sewed along each edge.

3. From there, I made paper accordions. To do that, cut out strips half the width of what you would like your paper accordion to be. For example, if you want a 4 inch flower, then cut your strips 2 inches wide. You will need 2 strips per accordion. Then, zig zag the entire length of the paper. You will hot glue the beginning and ends of the paper to your other zig-zagged strip. Then you will push in the the edges of the paper and place a dab of hot glue. Hold until it dries.

4. Hot glue your accordion onto your paper letter shapes.

5. Add a scrapbook paper circle to the top of the accordion, and then hot glue your letter to the center.

6. Hole punch the tops and string with ribbon or tulle.

Now you have a beautiful paper Easter Wreath that is wonderful for
any display!

I love the table! What decorations did you make and which were purchsed. I’m really interested in flower tree and what’s inside the glass vase! Very cute! You are so wonderfully talented!
