What to Expect at Disneyland 2013

I just LOVE Disneyland. I’ve blogged about this love several times, but in case you missed my last two posts be sure to check them out by going HERE and HERE. I even started a Disney Pinterest Board with tips and other helpful links so be sure to check it out.

We were so grateful that we were able to visit both Disneyland and California Adventure back in November and learned about some fun upcoming events for 2013 that I thought you’d want to know about.

First, this year they will have LIMITED TIME MAGIC – 52 weeks of magical experiences that appear and disappear as the next special surprise appears.

Imagine an Independence Day celebration – only it lasts an entire week….Main Street mainstays the Dapper Dans rocking out with boy band hits in barbershop style….a Friday the 13th dance party with Disney villains that lasts to the 13th hour….a Valentine’s Day in 2013 that becomes Valentine’s Week with Disney castles blushing pink, surprise meet-and-greets with Disney princes and princesses, and candlelit dinners for couples in love.

All of these events are a limited time only and will only be offered this year at Disneyland! How fun is that?!

The experience of the week will be announced in a variety of ways including in-park, Disneyworld.com, Disneyland.com, Facebook, Twitter, the Disney Parks Blog – adding to the element of surprise so be sure to follow them for more information.

Also coming in spring of 2013 is the new “Princess Fantasy Faire” in Disneyland Park, a special area dedicated to princesses and their stories with a place to visit the princesses and see a new show. How great is that?! Not sure about your little ones, but my Lily was beyond excited to meet the princesses!! It will be so great to have a dedicated area for you to meet and take pictures with each princess and hear their story too!!

There are just so many fun things at Disneyland, and that’s why I love it so much!! I seriously feel there is no wonderful idea that they can’t turn into a possibility there, and that’s why I LOVE it so much. The possibilities are endless and the imagination and creativity is seen and felt everywhere you turn at the parks! I can honestly say that the hubby and I have just as much fun as the kids do. :)

If you love Disneyland as much as we do you will want to be sure to follow Disneyland and their Social Media sites for more information and exciting news about their parks and upcoming events.

So, who’s with me?! Do YOU love Disneyland too?

Hi there, we are going to Disneyland for the first time with our daughter, 5yrs, and son, 3yrs. Have you gone on any of the character breakfast/dinner with your kids and do you think it’s worth it?
Any other tips are appreciated too!
    Thank you!

Hi Vanessa! Yes, I have been to the character breakfast and the kids LOVE it!! If you don’t think you’re going to wait in lines to see some of the characters, then I definitely recommend going to one of these character breakfast/dinners. You see a lot of characters and definitely have the chance to take pictures. BUT, at the same time you can see all the characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy at their homes in Toon Town. If you’re willing to wait in lines and go see them there then there’s no need for the character meals in my mind. Hope that helps. :)

I’m sure we’ll probably wait in lines to meet the characters and such, but I’m thinking I may just take my daughter to the Ariel dinner and meet the other princesses there; I’m just unsure about the costs and if it’s worth it!,
