Disney paid for my family’s vacation to Walt Disney World. As always, all opinions are my own.
There’s nothing more exciting than planning a vacation to Disney World or Disneyland with your family!! If you’ve been to the parks before you know very well just how fun and happy the place is. Your children’s favorite Disney characters are scattered all throughout the park, great rides are found on every corner, entertainment abounds, and an atmosphere of joy and fun is everywhere. It truly is the Happiest Place on Earth!
One of the most fun things to do when planning a vacation to Walt Disney World is a reveal to let your family know you are going to the parks. There are so many fun and exciting ways to do this, and today I wanted to share with you 10 Creative Ways to Reveal a Disney Vacation.
We recently had the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World and wanted to do a unique and creative reveal for the kids. We were inspired by Disney’s Frozen Fever and decided to use a string through our play room to lead them to clues that hinted at where we were going. We ended with the more obvious clues of Mickey Ears and Magic Bands at the end to let them know we were headed to Florida. The kids loved it and were so excited to be visiting Mickey and his friends.
We thought it would be fun to have the string go through out the house, but since we were wanting to videotape we figured keeping it in the playroom would work well. We tied items all along the string that were clues… ice cream, animals, tea cups and kettles, pirate patch, crowns – items that reminded us of Walt Disney World. We started with the string attached to the door knob and we let the kids wind their way through the room finding the clues. It ended in the dress-up clothes chest with a small box where Minnie ears and Magic Bands awaited. 🙂

Oh, I love the video! What a fun way to get the good news! Disney is always such an exciting place! Can’t wait to be there again.
Thanks, Cristina!! The kids were definitely excited!! 😀
Such a great collection of ideas!
We met the kids on the front porch when they got home from school and told them to hop in the car. I said we were going to a quilt show in Kentucky (there actually is a quilt museum in KY on our driving route to FL). When we stopped for dinner, we played hangman while we waited for our food. The answer was “we’re going to Disney World.”. When my son figured it out, I told him “yes, we are.” They told us that if we go back they want to be surprised again. Now I have to figure out how to do it for our trip in four weeks.
What a fun idea!! I bet they were so excited! Better start thinking of new ideas! Thanks for sharing!
I really like the string idea. We were going to do a word jumble for our kids to unscramble. I think I will do the string scavenger hunt with the word jumble at the end as the final clue!
Oh, they’ll love it!!! Have so much fun! 🙂
