It’s Marie from Blooming Homestead here to share a fun and easy Chalk Painted Banner. Spring is here and this diy banner will add a fun touch of whimsy to any home decor. It’s such a fun way add a little color for the season in a subtle way. After a long winter it is always nice to bring out fun colors, patterns, and textures. This is simple to make and can be customized with whatever colors you prefer.
Here is what you’ll need to make this Chalk Paint Banner:
- Various colors of chalk paint- I used Americana Decor Everlasting, Smitten, Refreshing, and Delicate.
- Chipboard, wood, or fabric banner cutouts (I found mine at the craft store)
- jute or twine
- painters tape
- paint brush
Paint the chipboard completely in a base white coat. When the paint is dry, tape stripes horizontally across the banner.
Gently brush on your colored stripes.
Peel off tape to reveal crisp lines.
Thread the pennants on the jute or twine.
And that’s it! A fun, modern Spring accessory for your home decor.
These would also be so cute for party decor and could be customized for any decor theme. I would love for you to check out some of my other projects at Blooming Homestead, and you can also find me on Instagram and Facebook.
Love – Marie
