Simple Teacher Gift Idea + Silhouette Promo

If Teachers Were Apples I'd Pick You - CUTE gift idea and free print on { lilluna.com }

Today is Meet the Teacher for Lily’s Preschool.

Her teacher is a woman that goes to my church, and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about her. She lives just a few streets away so we’ll be able to walk there most days, so I’m really looking forward to that.

Lily is the most excited though. The girl loves learning and socializing and she cannot wait to go to Preschool, because she knows after Preschool is Kindergarten {which is what she is so excited about!}

Yesterday I posted a cute and easy teacher gift idea, and I have another simple teacher gift idea for you today.

This one is even more simple. 🙂

I’m always trying to think of practical gifts and thought this next one would be good for any teacher. It can be filled with goodies or other red or green school supplies. I had found these cute paper clips at Target and knew these would be perfect. Here is how you can make it too…

SUPPLIES:

– Small Jar (got mine at Walmart for $1.97 – LOVE that it is already an apple shape!)

– Goodies to fill it with (My red and pink paper clips came from Target)

– Vinyl or Sticker

– Silhouette cutter if using vinyl

– Green Paper

– If Teachers Were Apples Tags

– Twine/Ribbon

DIRECTIONS:

1. Fill your jar with your supplies/goodies.

2. Cut a leaf shape out of your green paper. Add it to the jar by sticking it in the twine or ribbon you wrap around.

3. Download, print and cut out the Tags. They are in Red, Pink and Green. To download click on the image above and then save.

4. Glue tags to the top of your jar.

5. Using your Silhouette, cut out the letter you want on there. Lily’s teacher’s last name starts with “K” so we did that letter. Add it to your jar.

    Ok-you make me tired. You are mom of the year! I don’t think that there is anything that you forget. Love this ideA! perfect gift for a teacher. I am thinking that I can make 2 of these before next wed.

    1. You’re too cute, Tausha!! Definitely am NOT mom of the year, lol!! And I haven’t forgotten you. Still need to reply to your email. We got new carpet last week and had to move all of our upstairs downstairs to put it in, then put it back (which we are still working on) and then I got hit with a killer cold Sunday… just now getting caught up! :/

  2. Wonderful idea, and oh so cute :-] I love reading your blog and am SO glad I cane across it :-]

    I have a Lily as well. Lilyana Saige; but I have plenty of time before I have to worry about school. She’s only 15 months but I am sure the time will fly before I am getting crafty for back to school. :-]
