In the summer I love cold and fruity desserts! No-bake treats are also a bonus during hot summer months to keep heat out of the kitchen.
I’ve rounded up my best summer desserts for all of your picnics, BBQs, and summer soirees.

No oven, no problem. We have a variety of no-bake recipes that don’t require turning on the oven.

Dessert Toppings
Summer produce. Whether you’re making a delicious cobbler, filling yummy pies, or want to top a Pound Cake with fresh berries, using your favorite summer fruits is delicious, easy, and cost-effective.
Balance your sweet treats with some salted chopped nuts and pretzel bits, or use dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate.
Keeping desserts cold
Cooler. Keep them in a cooler with ice, or a block of dry ice until you’re ready to serve.
Ice bowl. Fill a tray/bowl with ice cubes and nestle the dessert right on top.

Transporting Desserts
Carriers. Use cupcake and cake carriers, or pans, boxes, and bins.
Keep them at the right temperature. Use a cooler packed with heating pads or ice packs depending on what type of dessert you have.
Prevent spilling. Set desserts on the floor where they cannot tumble off the seat. Use a yoga or other non-stick mat or place a blanket or towel around the container to keep it snugly in place.
Chill desserts. Use dry ice in a cooler to keep it frozen.
Best Summer Desserts
There’s nothing better than a chilling treat to enjoy during our summer parties and BBQs. We’ve rounded up our favorites – ones we make all season long!
For crust, stir melted butter and crushed cookie together in a small bowl. Reserve ½ cup dry cookie crumbs for garnish. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 pan.
Once ice cream is softened, spread over crust, and freeze for 2 hours
Drizzle warm chocolate fudge sauce over ice cream, then freeze for 1 hour.
Spread on whipped topping over ice cream, and sprinkle Oreo crumbs on top. Freeze again for at least 2 hours. Before serving, let sit out for 15 minutes.
Notes
A regular size package of Oreo cookies is about 33 cookies. However, if you add more or less the recipe will still work. It just depends on how thick you want your Oreo crust to be and if your pan is big enough.
