Pumpkin Butter Recipe

Pumpkin butter is all of your favorite fall flavors in one spreadable and smooth mixture. Make a batch to spread on bagels or toast! Or, package it up and give it to friends and neighbors.

Ingredients

  • 29 oz can pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan combine pumpkin, juice, sugar and spices. Bring to a boil over high heat. Use a wire whisk and stir constantly.
  • Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 30 more minutes stirring frequently.
  • For a more smooth texture place the butter in a blender.
  • Store in a clean airtight container in the fridge.
