Ingredients

  • 24 dates
  • 4 oz goat cheese or cream cheese
  • 8-12 slices bacon
  • toothpicks

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Prep the bacon by cutting the slices in half or in thirds, based on how long it is and how big your dates are.
  • Cut the dates lengthwise along one side and pull out the seed. (You do not want to cut through the entire date just one side.) Using a spoon, stuff a small amount of goat cheese into the date.
  • Wrap bacon around stuffed dates and hold it together by inserting a toothpick through the bacon and the date.
  • Place them on their sides on a lightly greased foil-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes. Flip the dates over to their other sides and bake an additional 10 or so minutes.
  • Serve immediately.
