- 2 (15.5-ounce) cans northern beans
- 3-4 cups water
- 3 cups chicken broth
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup carrots chopped
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 2 cups chopped ham
- ½ teaspoon ground white pepper
- fresh parsley, chopped
Place beans, broth, water, salt, carrots, onion, garlic and mustard powder in a large pot. Cook on medium heat for 30 minutes.
Stir in the chopped ham and simmer for 20 more minutes. Season with ground white pepper to taste.
Top with chopped, fresh parsley.
