Chocolate Muffin Recipe
Chocolate muffins loaded with semisweet chocolate chips and dark chocolate chunks, then topped with more chocolate chips and sprinkles.
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup dutch process cocoa powder
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup semi sweet chocolate chips and more for sprinkling on top
- ½ cup milk chocolate chips
- 2 cups milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Prepare muffin tins with 24 cupcake liners.
In large bowl - combine all dry ingredients.
In separate bowl- combine liquid ingredients and whisk until incorporated and egg yolks are broken.
Fold into dry ingredients - don't over mix but make sure you don't have any dry spots.
Spoon batter into prepared liners about ¾ full.
Sprinkle on additional chocolate chips.
Bake 20-22 minutes or until toothpick test is clean.
Cool in tins about 10 minutes before moving to wire rack to continue cooling completely.
