  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 TB sugar
  • 4 TB butter
  • 8 slices of bread (texas toast)


  • Add flour to a large bowl. Slowly whisk in the milk, salt, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract and sugar. Whisk until smooth.
  • Soak bread slices in mixture until saturated. Cook bread on a lightly buttered griddle or frying pan, over medium heat. Cook each side until golden brown. Serve hot.
