Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb tomatillos husked
  • 1/2 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 serrano pepper minced
  • 2 tbsp cilantro chopped
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups water

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, add tomatillos, onion, garlic, and chile peppers. Season with cilantro, oregano, cumin, and salt. Add water and bring to a boil over high heat. 
  • Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 10-15 minutes, until tomatillos are soft. Remove from heat.
  • In 2 batches, carefully puree until smooth. Serve warm or refrigerate until cold.
