Hamburger Stroganoff Recipe

Creamy, savory hamburger stroganoff is a perfect weeknight dinner. It is full of flavor and comes together quickly.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 c beef broth
  • 1 c sour cream
  • garlic salt and pepper to taste to taste

Instructions

Stove Top:

  • Using a medium pot, cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain.
  • While noodles are cooking, add the ground beef to a large skillet. Break up and cook it until it is no longer pink.
  • Once the meat has browned, sprinkle the flour over the meat. Stir and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the garlic powder and beef broth. Mix and cook until hot.
  • Add the sour cream to the skillet stir until smooth. Cook the mixture for 2-3 minutes or until hot throughout. Season with garlic salt and pepper.
  • Put the cooked egg noodles in a serving bowl and pour the beef mixture over the top. Enjoy!

Slow Cooker:

  • Brown the meat until no longer pink. Place the meat, flour, garlic salt and beef broth into the crock pot. Cook on LOW for 4 hours. Stirring occasionally.
  • Toward the end of the 4 hours, stir in the sour cream until smooth.
  • Cook the egg noodles on the stove according to package directions. Pour the stroganoff over the noodles and serve.
