Buttermilk Syrup Recipe
Pour this delicious homemade buttermilk syrup over pancakes, waffles, and crepes. It only takes 5 ingredients, and 5 minutes to make!
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup buttermilk (for a substitute, use 1/2 cup milk with 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Melt butter in a pan on low-medium heat.
Add sugar, buttermilk, vanilla and mix well and cook for a few minutes.
Add baking soda and stir until all combined. Mixture will get foamy and bubble up when done.
