Buttermilk Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, beat buttermilk, milk, eggs melted butter and vanilla together.
  • Using a wooden spoon, mix the wet and dry ingredients together until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips. Don't overmix! There will probably be flour lumps which is okay.
  • Pour 1/2 cup of batter at a time onto a lightly greased, heated griddle on MED-HIGH heat.
  • Cook until golden brown on both sides and serve warm. ENJOY!

Note

  • When cooking the pancakes the first side takes about 2 1/2 - 3 minutes to cook, then flip and the second side takes about 1 1/2 minutes.
