Christmas Breakfast Casserole
Christmas breakfast casserole is packed full of savory flavor. Even better, it requires few ingredients and can be prepped the night before!!

- 1 pound ground pork sausage or maple sausage
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 6 eggs beaten
- 1- 1½ cup half and half
- 6 slices white bread toasted and cut into cubes
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
Grease a 9x13 baking dish, set it aside.
In a large skillet cook the sausage over medium heat until browned, and drain.
In a large bowl mix the salt, eggs, and half and half. Then add the sausage, bread cubes, and cheese. Stir together until evenly coated.
Pour the mixture into the baking dish. Cover with foil and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Preheat the oven to 350°F . Bake the casserole covered for 50-60 minutes.
Reduce the heat to 325°F. Uncover the casserole and bake for 20-30 additional minutes or until casserole has set.
Freezable. Cover the uncooked casserole with plastic wrap and again with foil. Label and freeze for 1-2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before removing the wrappings and baking.
Leftovers. Divide into individual-sized storage containers. Keep in the fridge for 3-4 days, or in the freezer for 2-3 months.
