- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a large bowl, mix Betty Crocker cookie mix, butter, and egg until well combined and dough forms. Press into the bottom of a greased 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 14-16 minutes. Once baked, sprinkle butterscotch chips, milk chocolate chips, and coconut over the cookie layer. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes longer or until golden brown. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
Recipe Tips.
- You can make the base from scratch using this Cookie Bar recipe and top it as listed in the recipe.
- Lining the pan with parchment paper makes it incredibly easy to lift the bars out once they're cooled.
- Be sure to use sweetened condensed milk, not evaporated milk.
Store baked bars in an airtight container for about 3-5 days. If they are in the fridge they can last up to a week.
Freeze by wrapping each bar with plastic wrap and place them together in an airtight freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 3-4 months. Thaw 30 minutes to 1 hour before eating.
