Monte Cristo Pinwheels
Sweet and savory Monte Cristo pinwheels are a melt-in-your-mouth twist on a classic turned tasty appetizer!

- 1 sheet puff pastry
- ¼ cup dijon mustard
- 12 slices Swiss cheese
- 12 slices ham
- 12 slices turkey
- 1 egg, beaten
- powdered sugar
- raspberry preserves
Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a large baking sheet or jelly roll pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
Place a sheet of puff pastry onto a large cutting board and stretch out.
Brush on a thin layer of Dijon mustard all over the puff pastry, and top with Swiss cheese slices, followed by a layer of ham slices, then turkey slices, then more cheese slices. Roll the pastry up and push thw seams together to seal the edge.
Use a serrated knife to cut the log in half, and then cut both sections in half again. Cut each of the 4 sections into 4 slices. You should have 16 pieces in total.
Place each pinwheel onto the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops and sides with your egg.
Bake for 16-18 minutes until hot and golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with jam preserves.

Prep ahead of time. Place the pinwheel appetizers on a baking sheet and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days, or freeze for 2 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
