Servings: 12
- 2 puff pastry sheets
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1-2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup (5-ounce) bag mini pepperoni
- 1 egg, beaten
Roll out puff pastry and spread pizza sauce all over the sheet making sure to go to the edges. Sprinkle on mozzarella cheese and pepperoni.
Add another puff pastry sheet on top and use a sharp knife to cut into 1-inch strips.
Fold each strip in an accordian making one end wider than the other and poke a skewer through the tree. Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and press down gently on trees to help keep their shape while baking.
Add egg wash to the top of the trees and bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes. Serve warm with a dipping sauce like ranch or marinara.
Make ahead of time. Assemble the trees, cover them with plastic wrap, and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours before baking and serving warm.
Store. Store leftover trees in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for 1-2 months. Reheat in the microwave until warmed through.
