- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1½ cups warm milk
- ⅓ cup butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Preheat the waffle iron to the desired temperature.
In a medium bowl, mix flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar until combined.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs. Add the milk, butter, and vanilla and stir to combine.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
Pour ¾ cup batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden.
Recipe Tips.
- Triple the dry ingredients and keep it in an airtight container in the pantry. When making waffles use 2⅛ cups of the mix and combine it with the wet ingredient listed on the recipe card.
- We love classic melted butter and syrup, but also enjoy fresh berries and Cool Whip as waffle toppings.
- For fluffy waffles don't overmix the batter. Mix the wet and dry ingredients just until they are combined; a few lumps are perfectly fine.
Store leftovers in a Ziploc bag in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. For longer storage, store in the freezer for 2-3 months. See how to freeze pancakes and waffles for more tips.
Reheat in a toaster oven, microwave, or in 350°F oven.
