- 1-2 cups pretzel snaps, (the square pretzels)
- 1 bag Rolos
- 4 apples, cut into slices, then cut into bite size pieces
- toothpicks
Preheat the oven to 325°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place pretzel snaps on your sheet. Place unwrapped Rolos on each one.
Bake for 3-5 minutes until just a tad melted and still in shape.
While baking, add a toothpick to the top of each apple piece.
Take pretzels out of the oven, and while warm, place apple pieces on them with the toothpick facing up for easy grabbing and eating. Let set.
Best apples to use? We used tart Granny Smith apples, but McIntosh, Pink Lady, Honeycrisp, Empire, Cortland, or Braeburn apples can be used.
Make ahead of time. You can make these up to 2 hours before serving them. Treat the apple chunks by dipping them in lemon juice or sprinkling them with Balls Fresh Fruit Powder to keep them from browning. Store them covered in the fridge until ready to set out and serve.
Store. I like to place any leftovers in a Tupperware container and store them in the fridge, where they should stay fresh for 2-3 days
