Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken shredded
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 12 ounces cream cheese
  • 1½ cups cheddar cheese divided
  • blue cheese crumbles optional
  • green onions optional

Instructions

  • Mix chicken and hot sauce in a pot on medium heat. Add cream cheese and stir until blended. Mix in ranch dressing. Add 1 cup of cheddar cheese and heat until melted.
  • Pour dip into crock pot and top with remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese. Keep on low heat as you serve.

Notes

Recipe Tips.
  • Use rotisserie chicken or leftover cooked chicken to make the dip extra quick.
  • Cut the cream cheese into smaller pieces so it melts faster and blends smoothly.
  • Stir often while heating so the cream cheese and cheddar melt evenly.
  • Keep the crock pot on low or warm while serving so the dip stays creamy.
  • Make-ahead tip: mix the dip ahead of time, refrigerate, then warm in the crock pot before serving.
Store. Keep leftovers in an airtight container and reheat it in the microwave, oven, or slow cooker when you're ready to enjoy it again.
Freeze. Freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months, though the creamy texture may change slightly after thawing. Stir well after reheating and add extra cheese, green onions, or blue cheese crumbles if desired.
