Recipe Tips.
- Do not overbake or the cookies can become dry instead of soft and fluffy.
- Use a cookie scoop for evenly sized cookies that bake consistently.
- Add extra sprinkles on top before baking for more color and fun.
- Let cookies cool completely before frosting so the topping does not melt.
- These cookies can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container for up to four days or frozen for longer storage.
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
Store cookie dough. Cover or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Freeze cookie dough. Shape the dough into balls and freeze for later. Place the cookie dough balls on baking sheets and then into the freezer.
Once solid, transfer them to a large freezer Ziploc bag for about 3 months. Bake them directly from the freezer, just add 2-3 more minutes.
