Pumpkin Juice
Pumpkin juice, the iconic wizarding world beverage, can be served chilled or heated for a bit of autumn magic in every sip!

- 4 cups fresh apple cider
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
Add apple cider, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, ground ginger, and nutmeg to a medium pot and bring to a simmer. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve warm, or refrigerate until cold and serve over ice.
Recipe tips.
- Double-check the can of pumpkin to ensure it's not pumpkin pie filling, which already contains sugar and spices.
- The cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg can be replaced with 1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice blend, which also includes cloves.
- Even though it's served chilled, it needs to be gently simmered for the spices to infuse, but keep in mind that boiling can cause the spices to become bitter.
- In the Harry Potter book, it's served chilled, but it also tastes delicious as a warm, flavorful cider.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days or freeze for 3-6 months.
