Christmas Chocolate Chip Cookies

My Christmas Chocolate Chip Cookies are so simple (perfect for the kiddos to help with). They are a holiday favorite!!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 package vanilla candy coating
  • holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a cookie sheet and set aside.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream butter and sugars until incorporated. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Mix in vanilla
  • Add dry ingredients - flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and mix until combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and then scoop 1.5 inch balls onto prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8-9 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool.
  • Pour your vanilla candy coating (or white chocolate chips) into a small pot. Heat on LOW temp by stirring with a rubber spatula constantly until all melted and smooth.
  • Dip cookies halfway into melted white chocolate mixture and place on parchment paper. Sprinkle with holiday sprinkles. Let sit for 1-2 hours until firm.
