Honey Glazed Carrots Recipe

Sweet honey glazed carrots are simple and ready in minutes. They are the perfect side dish for any meal, especially holidays!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound baby carrots
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon garlic salt (with parsley flakes)
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • parsley dried

Instructions

  • Add several cups of water to a pot. Sprinkle with garlic salt and bring to a boil on MEDIUM-HIGH heat. Add carrots and cook for 5 to 8 minutes (shorter for baby carrots and longer for gourmet carrots) or until fork tender.
  • Drain the water from the pot. Add butter, honey, lemon juice, pepper, and garlic salt. Cook on LOW for 5-7 minutes or until carrots are coated with glaze.
  • Add any more salt and pepper to taste and garnish with dried parsley.

Notes

STORE. Leftover honey glazed carrots can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
FREEZE for up to 2 months. They will be much softer after being frozen, but still delicious.
Reheat in a pan on the stovetop with a bit of extra butter or olive oil. Or use the microwave to warm them up.
