easy, sweet honey Carrots
Can you guys believe that Easter is just around the corner?
We love all the holidays around here and have been busy getting a menu put together – from the main dish to the sides. One of the sides we plan to make are Honey Glazed Carrots, along with some of our other classic sides like rolls and mashed potatoes.
If you haven’t made these before, they are one of the easiest and most delicious side dishes you can make. They are flavorful, soft and perfect for any dinner (especially holiday dinner).
How to Make Honey Glazed Carrots
We love that these carrots are simple!
To make them, add some water to a medium pot and bring to a boil. Add the carrots and cook for about 5 to 8 minutes (it will be shorter for smaller carrots and a little longer for larger carrots). You can use a fork to pierce onto to make sure they are tender.
Drain the water and add the butter, honey and lemon juice. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or so until the carrots are coated and glazed.
Add garlic salt, pepper and dried parsley and serve warm.
More Cooking Instructions
Follow these directions to be able to cook these honey carrots in more ways. 😉
IN THE SLOW COOKER. Place the carrots in a greased crock pot. Combine melted butter, honey, lemon juice, garlic salt, pepper and water. Drizzle over carrots and mix until carrots are coated. Cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours or until carrots are tender.
IN THE OVEN. Place your baby carrots in a buttered casserole dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with honey and lemon juice and drizzle on 2 tablespoons melted butter. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
IN THE INSTANT POT. To cook in an Instant Pot or pressure cooker, place all ingredients in the pot, cover and secure the vent. Set the pot to “sealing”, press “pressure cook” or “manual” button”. Set the timer for 3 minutes. Once done, manually release the pressure by switching the vent to “venting”.
These carrots really are so simple and are so full of flavor with its butter-y, honey glaze. If you are looking for a more sweet (than savory) version be sure to check out our Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots. They’re always a hit too!!

I just like to add maybe a pinch to the water, to boil the carrots 🙂 Gives them an added flavor.
