Button Flower Bouquet

Hi! I’m Rachel, and my blog is Family Ever After.
Last year, I had the fun opportunity of being Lil Luna’s sewing contributor. I loved it! Working with Kristyn behind the scenes was great. She is such an awesome girl, and she’s gonna be the best mom to 4! I’m so honored to be a guest on her blog once again.
A little about me… I am a country girl at heart. My 4 sisters and I grew up in South Dakota. I’ve know my husband since we were 12, he grew up there too! I went to college at BYU, where I learned how to sew, and majored in Family and Consumer Science Education. Right out of college, I taught middle school sewing for one year. I’m now living my dream being a mom to three kids. I’m very passionate about letting them “help” me do projects. Basically, my blog is a big mish mash of things I love: sewing, crafting, food, family, travel, gardening, country music, sunflowers, clogging, running, and taking pictures of it all!
Feel free to stop by and “join the family!”
Button Flower Bouquet - such a cute and easy Mother's Day gift idea!
Happy May Day! I have always loved this simple little “holiday,” because it is so cheerful. I thought I’d share a project using flowers to spread a little cheerfulness via internet today. My daughters made this darling button bouquet for me. I love flowers of any kind, but this little bouquet is one of my all time favorites, because I get to treasure it forever! It is currently displayed on my Mother’s Day Mantle, but normally I keep it in my craft room.
Super Cute Button Flower Bouquet - perfect for Mother's Day!
It’s not hard to make this, its cheap, and your kids will love it!
We used wire that is covered in soft, green, fuzzy stuff. Check the floral aisle at your craft store to find it.
Then using some colorful buttons of different sizes, layer them, two or three at a time. Then thread the wire through the holes and twist it.
I love the cute little glass bottles that Hobby Lobby sells. They can be found for $1.50 when they are on sale.
Oh these colors make my heart sing!
Here is my Mother’s Day mantle… more details coming soon on my blog.
If you’d like to print the quote, you can find it on my blog here.
