Hi Lil’ Luna Readers! It’s Ginger from Ginger Snap Crafts. I am so thrilled to be visiting Lil’ Luna again!
Summer time is in full swing at our house, so my crafting is taking a back seat to having fun with my kiddos!
As we speak we are leaving for our summer vacation! So today I’d love to share a simple & easy craft!
My kiddos actually helped me make these fun {chalkboard} countdown plaques!
Just a little background on how I came up with these. 
I am the hardest person to shop for…my poor hubby!
Buuut last Christmas he was trying extra hard I guess!
He bought me a whole stack of these wood plaques for Christmas!
I guess he thought if he bought me something crafty I’d LOVE it!
I really did appreciate his gift but had no idea what I’d make with them until a couple of weeks ago!
I’m participating in several different craft swaps this summer.

So I needed something quick, inexpensive & FUN!
So these made perfect gifts! So my hubby’s pretty good at gift giving after all!
Supplies you’ll need are:
painted wood plaques {can be found at any craft store}
chalkboard vinyl,
self adhesive magnetic strips
vinyl lettering
1. Paint your plaques, let dry & then apply the chalkboard vinyl.
2. Apply your vinyl lettering.
3. Turn your plaque over & put on your adhesive magnetic strips.
(I used 2 strips for each plaque.)
Now you are ready to countdown some fun activities like:
birthdays, days until school is out/starts,
visits from the grandparents & vacations.
When I gave these as a gift I just attached a tag with washi tape & included some chalk. Super cute!

I can’t speak for Kristyn but YES having a blog does require a large amount of work! I really enjoy working on my blog so it doesn’t seem like work though! It’s a lot fun. The main thing I have to focus on is when to stop working on my blog…you literally could work on your blog 24/7. So it’s all about managing your time & knowing when to close the computer.
