Holiday 101 – Halloween Table Displays

My hubby’s rule of thumb for Holiday Decorating is:

“When Target decorates for that holiday you can!”

Fortunately, I can usually get him to cave a little early by telling him that it brings me so much joy and our house will look super cute. More than anything I think he just allows me so I’ll quit bugging him – Hehe.

I know Halloween is something he hasn’t even thought about yet, but it’s already on my mind. I mean, doesn’t he understand that I had the Halloween costumes picked out in January? Okay – that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but I’m trying to make a point here.

As mentioned in past posts, Halloween & Christmas are my all time favorite Holidays!! So much fun and so many cute ideas. I haven’t really had time to start my own Halloween crafting, but I’ve been looking at what others have done in the past, and I’m getting stoked for October.

Come on now…
how can you not get excited when you look at these?!?

Food Fun Friday – Lollipop Topiary

I wish I could take credit and say that I made this adorable Topiary, but I’m not that CREATIVE!

My amazing friend, Ashley, made it.

Isn’t it the coolest?!

I’m thinking I will need to make one of these for my hubby’s birthday, when he turns 30 (in a few years), and on the pot say: 30 SUCKS!!
Haha – don’t know how well that will go considering he hates that word.

Any who, if you would like to learn how Ashley made this Adorable Lollipop Topiary, please go to her blog:

Cute As a Fox

P.S. Ashley has a TON (and I mean, a TON) of cute things on her blog!! And I’m not saying that just cuz I’m friends with her. She is seriously talented!

ENJOY!

Misc. Monday – Cookies & Milk Party

I want to be friends with the person who came up with this idea…

A COOKIES & MILK PARTY

How wonderful is that?!
It’s probably the cutest excuse anyone has ever come up with to get together and
pig out on cookies visit with friends and their kids. :)

Check out the cute decor, invites, and setup they used:

To see the COMPLETE SETUP, please visit:

JUICY BITS

I’m just lovin’ it all, and it’s probably because my family and I are obsessed with cookies! If we find a good recipe, we are sure to tell everyone about it! :)

Any way, if we had a Cookies & Milk Party,
would you come?

Food Fun Friday – Salt Water Taffy Kabobs

I think these are the COOOOOLEST!
I never really thought I liked Salt Water Taffy, but every time I have one I remember,
“Hey, these are really good!!” (Depending on what flavor you get of course).

While I was looking at the Blog:

Celebrations at Home

I saw that this lady made KABOBS for her kids First Birthday Party. I thought it was such a cute and clever idea, because:

1 – It just looks COOL & EASY.

2 – It soft candy and not the hard candy you’re afraid your kid will choke on.

and

3 – It would make an AWESOME Party Favor!!

There really is no tutorial on how to make them. I think all you need is the taffy and skewers and that’s it, but if you would like to see the rest of the pics from this ADORABLE Pink & Orange Birthday Party Go HERE.

Since I’ve entered the craft blogging world I’ve seen SOOO many cute ideas, that I just feel overwhelmed. I want to make them ALL, since they’re amazing.

I hope you like them just as much as I do.

ENJOY!

Holiday 101 Thursdays – Martha Stewart 4th of July Creations

I don’t like it when holidays happen to fall on Sunday, but I guess I’m just gonna have to live with it. Fortunately, the hubby has Monday off so that should make it better. :)

Since we’re only a few days away, I thought I’d share some last minute Fourth of July Items from Martha

I’m especially fond of the Paper Flag Fans, but don’t think I’m gonna have time this year to make them for Sunday. :(

Oh well – I hope one of you guys have time to make them.
