Bite-Sized Cinnamon Treats

We LOVE Cinnamon Rolls in our family!

Due to the yeast, most cinnamon roll recipes can take several hours to whip up. Fortunately, I have a 1-hour recipe that is incredible, but when we don’t even have an hour, I love to make these Cinnamon Bites because they’re simple, quick, and taste just like cinnamon rolls!

These Biscuit Cinnamon Rolls taste so good straight out of the oven when they’re warm and gooey! They’re perfect for special mornings – birthdays, holidays, and weekends.

When you’re looking for cinnamon goodness but are short on time, these Cinnabites are AMAZING!

How to make cinnamon rolls with biscuits

The reason Cinnamon Roll Bites are so quick and easy to make is that you use the canned biscuit dough bought at the store. The steps are so simple, it only takes like 10 minutes to prepare.

PREP. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8 pan. Place the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl and mix well. Set aside.

DOUGH. Cut the biscuit dough into quarters, and dip balls in the cinnamon sugar mixture, coating completely.

BAKE. Place the pieces in the baking dish, really close together, and cover with melted butter. Bake for 20-22 minutes until the bites are cooked through and browned on the outside.

GLAZE. Mix glaze ingredients until well combined and drizzle over warm biscuits.

Variations

Homemade biscuit dough. This is our favorite Homemade Biscuit Dough, and it will take a few extra minutes of prep time, but it is super delicious!

Weigh out 12 ounces of homemade dough on a food scale if you have one and make Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Bites according to the directions.

Topping. Use a cream cheese frosting or add in chopped nuts or raisins.

Storing Info

Make ahead of time. Prepare Cinnamon Biscuit Bites the night before. Cover and store them in the fridge, then bake them in the morning! I wouldn’t recommend making these any more than a day ahead.

FREEZE. There’s quite a debate on whether you can successfully freeze canned biscuit dough. Some people have great luck others do not. Your best bet is to bake the Cinnamon Bites first.

  • Prepare Cinnamon Roll Bites according to the recipe directions.
  • Bake them in the oven, but under-bake them for 5 minutes.
  • Let the bites cool completely, then cover them with plastic wrap and again with aluminum foil.
  • Label and freeze for 1-2 months.

When you’re ready to eat them, thaw them in the fridge. Heat oven to 350°F and bake for 10-12 minutes or until bites have finished baking. Cover with the glaze and enjoy!

I made this recipe with 8 jumbo biscuits and it still turned out amazing. What a quick easy cinnamon bite hack. Turned out amazing and my oven tends to cook on the hotter side but I had no issues with the time or cook. 10/10 will be making again.
