Cinnamon + Cream Cheese Goodness

Have you ever tried combining cream cheese, butter, cinnamon and sugar and wrapping it in a crescent roll?! If not, we are here to tell you that it is DELICIOUS!

We have always loved this combo of flavors and decided to make up a recipe, topped with a glaze, and it’s become a family favorite treat.

These Cinnamon Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls are simple, quick and great for brunch, weekend morning treats and even an after-school sweet.

How to Make Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls

Begin by rolling out your crescent rolls onto an un-greased cookie sheet.

CREAM CHEESE. Add a thin layer of whipped cream cheese onto each crescent roll.

BUTTER. Brush melted butter onto each roll.

CINNAMON & SUGAR. Add as much cinnamon/sugar mixture {1/2 cup sugar, 1 TB cinnamon} as you’d like. To me – the more, the better!

ROLL UP. Roll up each crescent roll starting with the wide side. Bake at 350 for 11-12 minutes.

GLAZE. Make glaze by combining the powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla and milk and pour over the top of the warm crescent rolls.

ADD-INS & STORING

Optional add-ins: A great thing about this recipe is you can always add your own personal touch to it. Assorted jams or chocolate can be added to the top with the glaze.

You can also add any fruit, assorted jams, Nutella, pie fillings, any flavor of chocolate chips, or a flavored whipped cream cheese to the middle before cooking.

How to store/reheat? Put any leftovers in a Ziploc bag or an airtight container and store in the fridge for 3-4 days. To reheat, use microwave or reheat on low in the oven.

This little treat has actually become the hubby’s favorite snack on a weekend morning. Eating them when they’ve come straight out of the oven is just pure heaven! The mix of cream cheese and sugar and cinnamon makes these pretty irresistible!
