We Love Cranberry + Brie!

Brie, cranberry, and puff pastry are a match made in heaven. We love our go-to appetizers like our Grape Jelly Meatballs or these Spinach Puffs that everyone loves, but sometimes you just need something new.

Here’s why we love them:

  • Quick + easy. Prepped in minutes with only 15 minutes of bake time!
  • Beautiful. These bite-sized appetizers were made for holiday entertaining.
  • Tasty. Tart cranberries and brie are a perfect combo of flavors.
Cranberry, brie, and rosemary prepped and measured on a kitchen counter.

Just a Few Ingredients

  • crescent dough Substitute a sheet of puff pastry sheets (found in the freezer section) or even use mini phyllo cups.
  • flour – For your work area when you roll out the dough.
  • brie wheel – Do not remove the rind as it is edible and helps give the cubes of brie cheese their incredible flavor.
  • cranberry sauce – Use store-bought or Homemade Cranberry Sauce, or try blueberry, strawberry, apricot, raspberry jam, orange marmalade, or pepper jelly.
  • pecans Try chopped walnuts, almonds, or leave out the nuts.
  • toppings – We use rosemary, but that’s optional. You can also add a drizzle of honey.

How to Make CranBerry Brie Bites

  1. PREP. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF.
  2. DOUGH. Roll out crescent dough on a lightly floured surface. Pinch together seams and cut into 24 squares. Place squares into greased mini muffin tin slots.
  3. CHEESE. Chop brie into small pieces and place inside the crescent dough. Top with a spoonful of tart cranberry sauce, chopped pecans, and one small sprig of fresh rosemary.
  4. BAKE. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden.

Serving Tip

  • If serving appetizers before dinner, plan about 6 total appetizer pieces per person.
  • If appetizers are being served at a cocktail party, plan for people to eat 12 total appetizer pieces.

Store or Make Ahead

  • Make ahead of time. Prepare these cranberry and brie bites up to 24 hours in advance, but don’t add the cranberry sauce until right before baking. Cover the mini muffin pan with plastic wrap and store the cranberry sauce separately.
  • STORE. Keep leftover brie appetizers in single layer in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Heat them up in a warm oven for a few minutes or use the microwave.
  • FREEZE. Place on a baking sheet and flash freeze for at least 2 hours. Then, transfer to a freezer-safe bag and store for up to 2 months in the freezer.
