We LOVE all things Halloween and there is no better way to kick off this spooky holiday than a Halloween bash. We’ve compiled all the spooky decor and party items you need for a hauntingly good time!
Welcome, Foolish Mortals
Halloween is by far one of my favorite holidays. We love to decorate our house with spooky (but cute) decorations and trust me, we go all out. We even have a Halloween tree! It’s black and covered with all kinds of cute ornaments and ribbons. This a tradition the kids look forward to each year.
I also change out our picture frames for things more on the ghoulish side. And of course, there are plenty of bats and pumpkins around the house to help set the mood.
With all of that decorating, it’s only natural to throw some Halloween shindigs throughout the season! Whether it’s inviting church youth groups over, or having the kids bring friends over for decorating Halloween Cookies, we love to host. I’ve collected my Halloween party must haves to make it a no-brainer for you to have fabulous parties as well!
Setting the Scene
I always start with my home decor. I love using simple things that have a big impact. One of my favorite things to do is to add bats to the walls! I also love my creepy portraits and of course – pumpkins!
These favorites will help transform your space!
3D Wall Bats – These bats are an absolute MUST for decorating! They’re 3D, easy to stick on the wall and the impact they have on your space is so worth it.
Halloween Creepy Cloth – It’s not spooky season in our house until we add some cobwebs and this creepy cloth over pictures, light fixtures, and anywhere that needs a haunted touch.
Halloween Witch Hats – One of our favorite things to add to our porch is floating witch hats. All you need are these very inexpensive hats, some fishing wire, and thumbtacks to create this spooky-chic look!
Floating Candles – We LOVE Harry Potter and these floating candles add a magical touch while recreating the perfect Great Hall atmosphere.
Halloween Pillow Covers – Buying themed pillows for each holiday can be ridiculously expensive and that’s why I always opt for these cute Halloween themed pillow covers instead.
Faux Pumpkins – There is no such thing as too many pumpkins (Lo might disagree), but here in Arizona it can be too hot sometimes for real ones to last the whole month of October, so these white faux pumpkins are a perfect alternative!
Coffin Letter Board – I am OBSESSED with this coffin-shaped letter board! This is such an easy and fun way to display fun Halloween movie quotes or welcome guests to a haunted affair.
Posable Skeletons – These posable skeletons are the perfect addition to any space or food display. Add one of these skeletons to a Halloween Charcuterie Board for the spookiest touch!
Creepy Portraits – It’s not Halloween if you don’t introduce a little creepiness into your space and these portraits will do just that! They’re very inexpensive and great to fill up empty wall space or swap out with your year-round artwork.
Halloween Balloon Arch Kit – Everyone loves a good balloon garland so of course we had to include our favorite one to use for Halloween.
Ghoulishly-Good Tablescapes
A decorated table can add so much to any Halloween party. It’s a perfect place to create a theme (pumpkins, bats, ghosts, etc.) and I have plenty of cute options to get you started!
Black Sequin Tablecloth – For added flair use this beautifully chic sequin tablecloth for your food table or dining table.
Spider Halloween Lace-Lined Tablecloth – Spiders and spiderwebs are some of my favorite things to decorate with and this tablecloth does not disappoint!
Black and Silver Disposable Plates – Disposable plates and silverware don’t have to be boring or cheap-looking when you have options like this set! This 150 piece set looks like fine China with a gothic flair and looks stunning on a full Halloween tablescape!
Pumpkin Dinnerware Set – For a more fun and cute vibe add this pumpkin themed set that serves 25 guests and even includes dessert plates and cups, yes please!
Disposable Plastic Halloween Cups – These disposable cups are easy on the wallet, the perfect size and on brand with any Halloween theme.
Plastic Black Patterned Goblets – These goblets are PERFECT for those fancier shindigs or adults-only parties, but since they are plastic, they are kid-friendly too!
Black Candelabra – I LOVE this black candelabra because it reminds me of my favorite ride at Disneyland, Haunted Mansion. You can place a few on the table or for even more of a dramatic effect use fishing wire to hang them above the table, so fun!
Black Flameless Taper Candles – Battery-operated lights are a must for any spooky table and these fit in most candle holders or candelabra. Even better, they come with a remote and timer function for easy use.
Wooden Bat Centerpieces – If you want to add some height to your table these bats are a great choice!
Black Artificial Eucalyptus Stems – These black stems look amazing in a vase or skeleton head and they add a more natural element to your decor.
Serving The Tricks & Treats
Along with the tablescape, you can get creative with how food is served. I love adding dry ice to a cauldron filled with Witches Brew or creating a themed Halloween Charcuterie Board.
Black Plastic Cauldron – You can’t use a regular old punch bunch bowl to serve up Halloween Punch when you can use this plastic cauldron! Add some dry ice to really kick it up a notch!
Halloween Stoneware Candy Bowl Dish – This candy bowl is a favorite and for good reason! It’s hand-painted and microwave/dishwasher safe so it can be used for more than just candy.
Black 3-Tiered Serving Stand – Every dessert table needs a tiered stand not only for height but how many goodies it can hold. We love using this to serve up Halloween Brownies and Halloween Cookies.
Coffin Charcuterie Board – We can’t get enough of this coffin-shaped charcuterie board, it’s so fun! This would be the perfect board for our Halloween Candy Charcuterie Board or any Charcuterie Board.
Black Plastic Serving Trays – These black trays are the perfect size to serve up Halloween Deviled Eggs or Pumpkin Quesadillas and they’re dishwasher safe making for super easy cleanup!
