Sweet and creamy caramel apple fudge is SO quick and easy. It requires only 2 ingredients, and takes minutes to prepare!
This fudge reminds me of fall and goes great with Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, Caramel apple cider, and Apple Pie Caramel Apples.
only 2 ingredients!
Fudge isn’t my first choice for a treat, but every once in a while when we do make it, I’m reminded of how tasty it is. Most fudge recipes, in fact, are really easy to make—especially this recipe that only requires two ingredients!
All you need to make this caramel apple fudge is white chocolate chips and caramel apple frosting. That’s it! The frosting has all the caramel apple flavoring, while the white chocolate thickens it up.
The end result is a smooth and sweet bite of fudge that tastes just like a caramel apple!
Making caramel apple fudge
CHOCOLATE CHIPS. Melt your chocolate chips in a small pot on low-medium heat, stirring the entire time until all melted.
FROSTING. Remove the pot from heat and add the frosting. Stir until all combined.
CHILL. Pour into a parchment linked 8×8 Square pan. Chill for 1-2 hours. ENJOY!
Variations:
- Add in 14 ounces of dulce de leche to give it a deeper flavor, it also works if you don’t have that yummy seasonal frosting.
- Mix in dried apples for some extra texture.
- Add a splash of apple cider for more of the apple-y taste
- Drizzle caramel over the top
Recipe Tips
Frosting: caramel Apple frosting is made by Pillsbury and comes in a 16oz tub. Some stores carry it year round and others only carry it seasonally. Here is a link for it at Walmart should you want to order online.
White Chocolate Chips: We really like the Ghirardelli brand of chocolate chips, but other good quality chocolate will also work. If you don’t want to use white chocolate chips you can use candy melts/bakers chocolate
Cutting: Make sure it is completely set before cutting the fudge! Let it sit in the fridge, even overnight if possible! Then place it on a flat cutting board and slice it with a hot knife. Some people even recommend dipping the knife in a boiling pot of water and then lightly drying it before slicing it. The heat will help the knife slice through the fudge easier.
Using the microwave is definitely a quick and easy way to melt the chocolate. You can also use a homemade double broiler. This is a great option because you don’t have to worry about over cooking the chocolate.
- Fill a small cooking pot with 2 inches of water and heat it up.
- Place a heat proof metal or glass bowl on top of the saucepan. The rim of the saucepan should hold the bowl about the water.
- Place the chocolate into the bowl and allow the steam from the water to melt it. (add more water if necessary)
Storing Info
STORE fudge in the fridge, tightly wrapped, for 2-3 weeks and in the freezer for about 3 months.
FREEZE the fudge as one big block or in individually wrapped pieces. Everything needs to be tightly wrapped in plastic wrap and then placed in an air-tight freezer bag.

These were really easy to make and every one thought they tasted good too!
Recipes with only two ingredients don’t help much when you can’t get either ingredient where you’re at. I did notice that it was 12 ounces of white chocolate; so I can use 3/4 of a pound bar for that. But what to use in place of “1 tub of caramel frosting”?
I’m sorry! I guess, if you can’t find the tub of frosting, then you may need to google caramel apple frosting. Good luck and I hope you can find a homemade version!
What size bag of chips do you use?
It was a 12 ounce bag 🙂 Hope you like!!!
