Try making either of these Healthy Flatbread Pizzas! Chicken Pesto Pizza and Buffalo Chicken pizza – BOTH full of flavor and low on calories!
We’ve made flatbread pizzas before, as well as flatbread breakfast pizzas, but this version is a little more healthy and lighter in calories.
This is a sponsored post written on behalf of Flatout® Flatbread. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.
Healthy Pizza in Minutes
It’s no secret that my family LOVES pizza! We make it for lunch and dinner, which means we eat it a lot! We like to change things up and try different recipes, which is what we did today.
We ended up making two light and delicious pizzas thanks to Flatout‘s Artisan Thin Pizza Crusts. These took minutes to prepare and bake, they were so easy to make! I knew my hubby would enjoy the Chicken Pesto Pizza, and I would really like the Buffalo Chicken Pizza.
It was nice to have two options, and to be honest, I cannot tell you which of these lightened up Flatbread Pizzas I liked best. They were both delicious!
Keep It Light with Flatout
I’m all about simple and delicious recipes and I’m so glad that these two recipes were just that. Sometimes it’s just hard whipping up lunch or dinner in a hurry, and keeping it light.
Flatout Artisan Thin Pizza Crusts are only 120 calories each, but high in protein and fiber. In fact, Flatout® Flatbread is the official flatbread of Weight Watchers®! Since Flatout has always been BIG on flavor but LOW in carbs and sugar, they’ve always been the perfect partner.
Whether you are trying to eat healthy or simply come up with new and delicious recipes for your family, all Flatout Flatbreads are a simple solution to creating quick, easy and tasty meals. Both this Chicken Pesto Pizza and Buffalo Chicken Pizza were lightened up by using more veggies and less cheese, and they were delicious!!
Making Healthy Flatbread Pizzas
For the Chicken Pesto Pizza: Place the Flatout on a baking sheet or pizza pan, spread pesto over top, then 2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese. Top with grilled chicken and diced tomato.
Place in the oven and bake at 400 degrees for 3-4 minutes. Remove and top with remaining cheese and fresh basil, if desired.
For the Buffalo Chicken Pizza: Place the Flatout on a baking sheet or pizza pan, spread 2 tablespoons buffalo sauce over top. Toss chicken in remaining buffalo sauce and dry ranch mix. Top with chicken, cheese and red onion.
Bake at 400 degrees for 3-4 minutes. Remove and top with blue cheese crumbles and chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
Additional Tips
Variations: Between the flatbread and the healthy toppings this a is a pretty calorie friendly pizza. With that said you can easily change up the topping choices. Keep them light in calories by using different veggies and chicken flavors, or you can throw caution to the wind and use your favorite meats and cheeses. Also, we have a couple of sauce and seasoning recipes here at Lil Luna you might like to try out as well
Leftovers: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. To reheat, set the oven to 400°F and bake for about 8 minutes or until warm.

Why not try a healthier version of pizza. Tasty and less calories!
I love alternative pizza toppings using chicken and basil and tomatoes, but don’t always love it with the thicker pizza crust. This flatbread idea is definitely a winner.
This was so delicious! My husband asked me to make them again!
I’m so happy you enjoyed them so much!:)
I made this with my kids and they loved helping and eating it afterwards. Such a great pizza recipe!
I’m so glad your kids loved it too! Thanks for sharing!
I made both variations, the buffalo and pesto pizza, and they were both amazing! I love how easy this recipe was, this is the perfect recipe to have in your back pocket for days when you do not want to cook.
All of the ingredients in these flatbreads are delicious by themselves, I can’t wait to try them all together on a flatbread! Have you ever tried reheating these and if so, do they turn out ok? We normally try to have dinner leftovers for our lunches the next day and we’re making them tonight! Thanks!
I have not, but they should be ok 🙂 These are so good! Hope you like them!
Easy and delicious! I will be making these again very soon!
Yay!! I’m glad you liked them! Thanks so much for sharing 🙂

You are so welcome!! They are so good and a great healthier alternative! Thank you!
These were so flavorful! We had them for Friday pizza night, and they were just as delicious (if not more delicious) than the unhealthier options. Pinned!
